This is a review of the Pronto Seed Variety Gift Bag. For the current price of £24.99 this collection of seeds is great value. There are 69 different types of seeds covering a wide selection of flowers, herbs and vegetables. If you bought these separately, the very least you would expect to pay is 99p for one pack of seeds, and many of these would set you back £2.99 or more. Admittedly the number of seeds you get for each variety is less than you would get if you bought them separately, but even a conservative estimate would be that you are getting well over £100 worth of seeds. As such, they make a great way to try growing things that you haven’t tried before, and the way they are packaged makes for a nice gift. The instructions printed on the packs are pretty comprehensive, including information on the size of the plants as well as how, when and where to grow them. All but one of the packs I received say they are good to plant up to end 2027. The exception is the herbs which say 2026. My only criticism is that the Amazon product description implies that these are all very easy to grow. That’s not true. There are a few varieties in there that I know from experience are extremely difficult to germinate and grow from seeds (e.g. lavender and onions), and there are quite a few where you really need a propagator and a greenhouse.
🔹INTRO & DESCRIPTION🔹 The Pronto Seed Growing Kit arrives in a lovely soft jute back with a colourful band around it to secure everything in place. The back of the band lists all the seeds you will receive which are divided into three sections :- Flowers – 24 varieties. Vegetables – 21 varieties Herbs – 24 varieties In total there are 69 different varieties of seeds (the numbers in the description are wrong as they do not add up to 69, but you do actually get more than what each category states!). The numbers on the front of the product are correct. 🔹OPINION🔹&🔹CONCLUSION🔹 This beautifully presented set could not have come at a better time for me, as I have just taken on my very first allotment ! The allotment has a 20 foot long polytunnel, which will be the ideal environment for starting off my seedlings. The seeds are divided into categories, and the pack contains 12 envelopes with six varieties in each envelope. On the back of the envelope you are given the essential information regarding when to sow the seeds and when to expect your harvest. There is a short description on the left, along with a more detailed explanation on the right hand side. The expiry date on the seeds is “By the end of the year 2027”, which is excellent as it means you can sow some, and save some for future years. This is a truly sensational seed kit and contains almost every variety you can think of. I really cannot praise this kit highly enough and I just cannot wait to get started ! I think this kit would make a perfect gift for an enthusiastic gardener or even someone like myself who has just procured an allotment. Everything is beautifully presented, with all the information required. All I need now is the green fingers to go with it, and hopefully I will be able to update my review by showing off some of my produce next year.
This is a superb collection of seeds. 69 different varieties and over 7,500 seeds! It is the perfect gift for any gardener, whether it is for someone who is starting off a new garden, or for someone who already has an established garden. The mix has been very well thought out - there are flowers, vegetables, herbs, salads, seeds to attract insects, bees and butterflies - I could go on and on. Around a third are flowers, a third vegetables and a third herbs. I spent a very long time when this arrived studying the seed packets, and the choice is amazing. The seeds are also good varieties, and there are comprehensive growing instructions on each packet. Maybe it is too overwhelming to plant all 69 varieties next year (unless you have a really big garden, and a lot of time on your hands!!!), but that is not a problem as all the seeds have a very long life - you can plant them up until 2027, which gives you 3 years of growing seasons. And some of the seeds can be planted indoors, such as the herbs and salad crops so that you can enjoy these over the winter when it is too cold outside to plant them. And of course you can share them with family and friends. And all of these come from a very well respected brand in the UK - Pronto Seed, so you can be sure of good quality. All the seed packets are presented in a nice jute bag with handles - perfect for storing your seed until you plant them. I am absolutely blown away by this collection - it is far better than I thought it would be, and I am currently busy planting some indoor salads (it is November as I write this). I can't wait for Spring next year to get some of these seeds into the garden soil. I am really impressed, and I reckon it is extremely good value at the current price of £24.99..
This is a comprehensive collection of seeds including herb, vegetable and flower varieties presented in a jute bag which would make an excellent gift for someone with green fingers and concern for the environment. The seeds come in 12 different collections and include varieties which should all thrive within the UK climate, perhaps with a little help from a greenhouse for some. The instructions for the germination of each variety is printed on the back of the packet with the appropriate time for sowing the seeds. Perhaps £24.99 seems a little expensive for this environmentally friendly gift, but with good soil, a bit of time, some good weather and a bit of nurturing, no doubt the investment will reap returns. Great gift idea! I only took a star off because I haven't had time to see if the seeds germinate or not, with it being November and that.
This makes a fantastic gift for gardeners especially for Christmas. There 69 varieties of seeds consisting of flowers, vegetables and herbs. This means you can immediately start sowing in January and continue all year round. A true gift that will keep on giving! It should be noted that it should be planted by Dec 2027, which is plenty of time. Looking at the back of the packets most of them state you can start from January. There is an abundance of information on the back from when to sow indoors or outdoors, how long to before germination, when to transplant and when to harvest or to expect blooms, all with colour photos. My Grandfather is a keen gardener since his retirement and will be very happy to receive this. I know he will get his seed trays and heated propagator out and get a head start. This will give immense pleasure to those who like to nurture and see their hard work come into fruition. A great set giving you a flower garden, a vegetable garden and a herb kitchen.
This selection of 69 different plant seeds is great quality and good value. The set has a very large variety of plants that are easy to grow. I love that each envelope of seeds explains when and how to grow each seed type. This kit makes it a perfect gift for anyone interested in gardening. I'm very pleased with this set and I would reccomend it.
You get an amazing selection in this pack, and it's a lovely gift for someone that has a garden, small plots or greenhouse etc. From those wanting to start to grow their own veg, to herbs and the amazing selection of flower seeds - there is something for everyone here. The bag is a little flatter and I think you just need to adjust it a little to get the more rounded bag effect when giving as a gift. Lovely.
Comes in a nice jute bag, which can be hung in the shed when not in use. The seeds have a long date life, you have until the end of 2027 to plant them(reviewed Oct 2024) With this kit uyou can grow some nice veggies to eat, season them with your home grown herbs whilst gazing out over your home made flowerpatch. A good variety of all kinds. Would be great as a gift, for someone moving into their first home. Or for a child, to spark their interest in gardening. Price seems fair for the variety on offer. Can recommend.

Everything looks colourful, well thought out and makes for a perfect gift for any gardening loving person, or for yourself!
Wow, what a kit. There is so many seeds in here, I don't even know where to start. There's a few key seeds (e.g cress) that are duplicated but I really can't complain. This is a kit for green fingered friends to share, there are just so many seeds and variety's in here, I can't wait to get started. They come with a lovely little bag which I will be transferring all my seeds to for easy storage. This is a great value for money and high quality set, it would make a lovely gift.
This is such a good gift to get for someone who’s either an avid gardener or just got a new house and is planning on starting a garden. There’s a great variety of vegetables, herbs and flowers. There are a few repeats across the packets or different varieties of the same herb/vegetable. Within each packet the seeds are individually packaged and labelled and there are planting instructions on the back of the pack.
