How to Grow

Stage 1 – Soak Seeds (optional for faster germination):

  • Soak sweet pea seeds overnight in water to soften the shell.

Stage 2 – Sow Indoors:

  • Use 2 coir discs and water in the mini propagator.
  • Place seeds on top and cover with the lid.
  • Place on a warm sunny windowsill until seedlings emerge (7–14 days).

Stage 3 – Transplant:

  • Rehydrate the coir block and mix with soil in a large container.
  • Fill milk churn with the mix and sprinkle the plant food over it.
  • Transplant 3 seedlings gently into the milk churn and cover.

Stage 4 – Harden Off & Move Outdoors:

  • Gradually introduce plants to outdoor conditions in April–May.
  • Place outdoors permanently once frost risk has passed.

Top Tips for Best Results

  • Sow indoors January to March for flowers from May to September.
  • Keep compost moist — check daily in warm weather.
  • Deadhead regularly to extend flowering time.
